Toy Story

I also had the opportunity to create a Toy Story cake for a 3rd birthday party (yes I was very busy this weekend).  Vanilla cake with butter cream frosting, this cake was two tiers; the bottom depicting Woody's world and the top tier was Buzz Lightyear and his rocket!  Using fondant and brown sugar this cake came to life.

A Princess Castle

The same party was also for a 5 year old who wanted a castle for her cake.  Using Wilton's castle towers, I created a fairy castle.  A mixture of icing and fondant and sprinkles created the look while the cake was vanilla with vanilla cream frosting.

Princess Belle

I recently made a Belle princess cake for a 4th birthday party.  The cake itself was chocolate with chocolate butter cream.  Covered in fondant and decorated to reflex Disney's Belle from "Beauty in the Beast."  The little girl loved it!

A Peaceful Birthday

This year for my husband's birthday he wanted me to make a "water feature" cake as we are thinking about adding one to our backyard.  So I ended up with a small koi pond and waterfall.  The purple lotus flowers were for my daughter who requested something purple on the cake.  The cake itself was vanilla with a lemon butter cream.

Green Bow Cake

For my step mother's birthday this year I decided to try working with fondant.  Since it was a first attempt, I thought staying simple would be best.  So here it is, chocolate cake with vanilla cream icing, done up with a green fondant bow.  I learn a great deal, and it came out fairly good for not having any training or demonstrations.

Christmas Tree Cupcakes

Great for the two holiday party I attended, I made some mini-cupcakes with Christmas trees on top. Vanilla cake, vanilla butter cream frosting. Festive while limiting the sugar intake by all the kids running around.

Yo Gabba Gabba Birthday

This year for my daughter's birthday I made some abstract Yo Gabba Gabba cupcakes. Yo Gabba Gabba is a preschool TV show that airs on Nick Jr. Its my daughter's favorite show so the choice was an easy one for me. The caupcakes were vanilla with vanilla butter cream frosting. In order they are: Muno, Foofa, Brobee, Toodee, Plex.
